The Smithsonian's Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden commissioned Meyers to create a 400 linear foot wall drawing in the museum's inner-circle gallery. The exhibition, titled Our View From Here, opened on May 12th, 2016, and will run through August 20, 2017. The Phillips Collection, Washington DC, recently acquired a 1993 painting made by Meyers in the last year of her graduate studies at The California College of the Arts. The piece, Untitled, 8'x8', oil on canvas, is currently on view at the museum, and will remain in the gallery through the end of 2016.
Meyers has received a 2016 artist fellowship at The Ballinglen Arts Foundation in County Mayo, The Republic of Ireland. She will be living and working in the Irish countryside during the fall and early winter.
The Santo Foundation has awarded Meyers a 2015 Individual Artist Award.
The DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities has granted Meyers an Artist Fellowship for the 2017 fiscal year.
The Drawing Center in NYC has published an exhibition catalogue for the show The Intuitionists, in which Meyers' work was included last year. The book contains an introduction by Lisa Sigal, and an essay by Heather Hart, Steffani Jemison, and Jina Valentine. It's available here.
Tamarind Institute has published a deck of cards as one piece of their 55th anniversary celebration. The image on the '10 of Clubs' is a drawing the Meyers made in the guest book there in 2006 -- check it out here. Meyers was Artist In Residence at Tamarind in 2006 and 2015, during each residency she completed 3 editions.
